CV Checklist

Here's a checklist of information that you need to ensure is
on your CV.
If we are producing an improved CV for you, then make sure that all
of this information is included. Don't worry about the formatting as we will take
care of that.
1. Personal Details
Name, Date of
birth, Marital status, Full Address, Home telephone number,
Mobile number & Email.
2.
Education:
Number and type of qualifications,
in descending order.
3. Training
List every course you’ve ever done
and how many days it was for.
4. Employment History
For
each job:-
- Start Date and
finish date (mm/yy)
- Job Title
- Company name
- Type of
business (e.g. printer, pharmaceutical company, baker, car
dealer, etc)
- Location (just
the town)
- Who you
reported to (position NOT name)
- How many people
reported to you, if any, OR how many were in your team.
- 3 main areas of
responsibility
- 3 achievements
- This needs to be quantifiable if possible. How many new
clients did you bring in last year? How far over target were
you? How much did you reduce costs by?
5. Other Skills
Languages
(fluent, intermediate or basic).
Computing skills – programmes and skill level (basic, competent or
skilled).
Any other skills that you think may interest an employer.
6. Hobbies and
Interests
These ARE important. Ignore what anybody else tells you on this one.
People employ people. They want to know that you are a fully
paid up member of the human race.
When you've finished
typing, save the file using "yourname"CV.doc, go to
Pricing and follow the instructions.
